The Land Use sub-group is chaired by Bernard Llewellyn, NFU Cymru. The group provides an advisory and monitoring role on issues covering agriculture, land use, land use change, forestry, and the food chain.
The recent review, undertaken for the Commission’s Land use sub group, looking at climate change emissions and adaptation in the agriculture and land use sectors, was launched by the Minister for Natural Resources, Carl Sargeant, in October 2014.
The aim of the review is to assess the evidence base for climate change action in the agriculture, land use and wider food chain sectors in Wales. It will also provide a robust evidence base to support decision makers on climate change policy and to ensure coherence with wider government priorities on jobs, growth and poverty.
